Guided snorkeling in the Rummu underwater prison area

One of the most unique art experiences of the summer takes place beneath the surface: from June 15 to September 2025, the Rummu Quarry will host the underwater photo exhibition “Underwater Journey”, which can be experienced by scuba diving and snorkelling.

“Underwater Journey” is a meeting point of underwater photography and the aquatic world – guiding the viewer through silence, light, and depth to a forgotten place where nature, history, and humanity converge. The exhibition is installed in the underwater area of the Rummu Diving Dive Center (Rummu Quarry/Prison)

The photographer is Valdur Maibach – an Estonian diver, traveler, karate coach, and underwater photographer, who has captured the underwater world in various locations across the globe over the past decade (2016–2025).
